Hilton Garden Inn Krakow

Stayed here with friends for our first trip to Krakow. Location - we found the location fine. You could walk to some areas but it's by no means directly in the centre. We used buses/trams to go to the centre, the zoo, and the salt mines. Transport was easy enough as there were bus and tram stops within a 5 minute walk of the hotel. Ubers were also reasonably priced most of the time, and there were electric scooters available to hire a short distance from the hotel entrance. Food - we had breakfast at the hotel each morning and everyone could find something they liked. The fresh waffles and omelettes were a great touch. Staff - we couldn't fault the staff at breakfast times, they were helpful and friendly and quick to clear plates, etc. The reception staff unfortunately weren't so welcoming, wouldn't greet you/say hello when you arrived, and generally gave the impression you were bothering them whenever you asked anything. Rooms - we had a slight issue when checking in as we requested three double rooms but were only given one double and two twins. When we asked, we were told we could try and change rooms after a couple of nights but to be honest the 'single' beds were big enough to use a double so we didn't bother! Our room was on the front, overlooking the big wheel, and the view was good with not much traffic noise (we were on floor 5 though). We would stay at the hotel again, but would recommend front desk staff improve their customer service skills as for a lot of people, first impressions can do a lot!
