Location

The hotel is located just minutes from downtown Punta del Este, equidistant from the Playa Mansa and Playa Brava beaches, plus 100 m from the Punta shopping centre. Restaurants are also located some 100 m away and public transport links can be found 3 minutes away on foot, the bus station about a 3-minute drive away and the tourist centre of La Barra, around 15 minutes away by car. The Atlantic Ocean is just some 600 m from the hotel and the capital of Uruguay, Montevideo, can be reached in around an hour and a half by car.

Facility

The hotel has 4 suites, 32 single rooms and 12 double rooms, which are located on 3 storeys and are reachable by lift. English-speaking staff at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. Wonderful little hotel in the green

We had a lovely stay at AWA. The room was comfortable and the breakfast very nice. We didn’t use it but there was a spa with sauna and indoor pool. Do not book the AWA...find a better hotel

The AWA Hotel was a complete disappointment, and certainly not a 4-star hotel as advertised. The rooms are small and tired, bathrooms were in need of repair - cracked tiles, moldy appearance. There was no desk, but only a single plastic chair. The hotel is located in a somewhat residential area, so quiet, but a bit remote to get to restaurants and beaches. Lovely quiet hotel a little out of the centre of Punta del Este with a good pool area and a nice relaxed vibe. Our room was well equipped with kettle provided. Great place to relax

AWA Boutique is a lovely small hotel for a getaway.Located in a residential area about 1,5 miles from the beach/bus terminal and walking distance to a shopping mall it’s a tranquil place to relax. Upon arrival we were told that construction was going for another one or two hours. When we came back after coffee noise was still brutally loud (it was the room directly on top of us). Luckily, we were offered a different room away from the construction that very evening (though it wasn’t bothersome next day). Breakfast was good on quality and variety, staff very attentive and friendly.The hotel offers free bicycles which is really handy to navigate around.
