  Good value but noise ruins it

  I always like to start with the positives so here goes. It’s good value and the rooms are spacious and comfortable.However (and I’m surprised you do t see this more in reviews) it’s very very noisy on a Thursday/ Friday and Saturday night. There is a disco that is open from the 11 to 5 am in the street next to it and it’s impossible to sleep between these hours. It’s actually incredible that the locals would allow such a thing as there is a lot of accommodation around it. I’ve never experienced something like it.I addition id really avoid the old town entirely. It’s genuinely feels unsafe to go out after dark as there is very little to do around there. We went for a walk at 8 in the morning in the front and when we walked back a car had already had its window smashed in for petty theft. Stay elsewhere in Montevideo, the old town is not nice or safe

  A good base to explore Montevideo - easy to walk to the Central Market for delicious steak!! The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff are friendly and welcoming. There is a restaurant on site for breakfast which was good and it was open all day for other meals.   Did not have a good experience because of safety issues near the hotel. Constant traffic noise and loud music at night.

  The hotel is located in a rundown area and not safe at night after 7:00 p.m. The windows are none cancelling of noise and traffic noise is loud and constant. There was loud music all night long from a bar or disco near the hotel. Good room size. Poor breakfast.Could not sleep for the 2 nights and was reported to the front desk that were not surprised.   My Go-To Hotel in Montevideo

  For the past three years, every time I come to Montevideo, this hotel has been my home away from home. What truly makes it special is the people. The staff is not only professional, but incredibly warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. After so many stays, it really feels like being welcomed by family.The rooms are spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully maintained. The bed is exceptionally comfortable — something I truly appreciate after long workdays. The location is also excellent and very convenient.As someone who depends on good accessibility, I can honestly say this is the best accessible accommodation I’ve found in the city — and even in the country. That level of care and structure makes all the difference.I’m deeply grateful for this place and the people who make it what it is. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Montevideo.
