This comfortable, well-equipped lodge is located in El Portal overlooking the Merced River. It is just 4 km from the western entrance to the famous Yosemite National Park.

278 rooms, including 76 single rooms, are available to guests in a 3-storey main building and 9 auxiliary buildings. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Services and facilities include a cloakroom, a safe, a cash machine, a newspaper stand, a laundry service, a business centre and a coin-operated laundry. Amenities include a drinks machine. Excellent Stay!

My husband and I stayed in May 2026 for several nights. Location close to entry into Yosemite was perfect. The room was spacious and clean, with a lovely patio overlooking the river. It was nice to have the restaurant close by, and the small store was convenient for a little items that we had forgotten or for snack items. The location was perfect for our plans, very easy drive to all things in Yosemite Valley. Original request was for a king size bed for $269. (They transferred us without warning to sister property 8 miles away, Cedar Lodge). Hotel staff was friendly and helpfull. Our king room with river view was awesome. Room came with a jet tub, comfortable chairs and table, small kitchen with utilities, big flat screen and the best view of the mighty Merced.
