Decent place to stay. It pays to stay inside the park when visiting Yellowstone.

This is pretty much a standard motel room without a television. It was clean and the staff are friendly but I feel like they are spending enough to maintain the place. Our bathroom fan didn't work and the toilet leaked all over the floor. It appeared to me that the floor was rotten under the toilet from a prolonged leak. Other than that it was fine. It had good wifi which was helpful.

The gift shop and reception employees were the best! Ask the gift shop personnel about what to see in Yellowstone. The Breakfast and Rooms were the worst - cold and late food and the rooms were very very small (room, bathroom, shower), no TV, and no elevator,

Tips for enjoying your stay

Location is convenient for touring the lower loop in Yellowstone. Typical of lodging within the park. Check-in office is in a separate building at the entrance to the complex. Lodge building has no public lounge area, just a couple of floors of rooms. Our room was small, clean and serviceable. No TV anywhere in the building. WiFi is slow/non-existent. Tip - download movies and entertainment before you get to the park, or make sure to bring a good book, as there is nothing to do in the evenings. The dining room, with a small attached bar, is in a separate building. Important tip - make reservations for dinner in the dining room ahead of time, or you likely will have to wait a couple of hours for a table as all of the early dining slots get booked up in advance. And there are no other dining options within a reasonable driving distance of the complex.

The location is close to old faithful if you don't mind driving 20-30 minutes. The rooms were basic which is fine for what we needed. The internet was strong which helped our planning. The access to Grand Teton National Park allowed us to take a day trip there. Otherwise, you don't really need to stay here more than a day. If we go back to Yellowstone, this lodge wouldn't be a priority to stay at again but served its purpose...a bed and a meal. If other places are booked, we would stay here again.
