Great location, incredible staff. Loved the vibe - older property but see it as having character and you'll love it as much as the locals. I'm picky on cleanliness and hesitated based on old reviews but I found the room to be incredibly clean. We had an absolutely incredible stay at Gravity Haus Steamboat! Amazing atmosphere! The rooms were exceptionally clean, and you truly cannot get any closer to the Steamboat Gondola. Hotel was outdated and needed a little sprucing up. The bed/ bed sheets were probably the worst I’ve been on. Not very comfortable at all. Location is great but not a luxury hotel
The location is excellent. Literally a two minute walk down path to the base area. We also found the staff to be very friendly -- shout out to the bartender (I believe his name was JP?) in White Rabbit. Check in was pretty seamless. We echo some of the other reviewer comments. A tired hotel that is way overpriced
In retrospect, we should have read reviews before booking this. Agree that the room was very basic and dated and small, and the noise from the people in the room next to us was as if they were in our room. We booked a room with a balcony, but were put in a basement room with no balcony. The restaurant is awful. And so overpriced-- a plate of eggs with toast and potatoes $30-- overcooked and dry.
