There are hotels you use…and there are places that take care of you.The Lloyd is the second.Every time I’m in Stamford, this is my spot — no debate. It feels less like checking in and more like coming home.During the big snowstorm on January 25, my car was completely buried. Dead stop. Snowed in. Hotel was nice, no free breakfast and no free parking which are downsides. Also we weren’t able to go to happy hour because they were renovating the bar area so I don’t know why they offered it to begin with. We had a great stay at the Lloyd. After a family member went into early labor, we had to book same-day hotel rooms for 4 people. Samantha Nieves, a wonderfully helpful and friendly front desk staffer, helped us book rooms that had early check in and were on the same floor. She made a chaotic few days seamless from a lodgings perspective.The accommodations were also comfortable and newly renovated.… We had a great stay at the Lloyd.
