Situated in the Historic District of America's Oldest City, the hotel is within walking distance of many of the area's finest restaurants and most popular attractions. Horse-drawn carriages and the Historic Trolley transport visitors from the hotel through the streets of the old city. Historical points of interest include the Spanish Colonial Castillo de San Marco National Monument, dating from 1672, the original Government House and the magnificent Victorian structures of the period built by Henry Flagler, including Flagler College formerly his grand hotel. St. Augustine Outlets are some 6 km away whilst other area attractions include an alligator farm and the Fountain of Youth.

Best location in town
Hotel is in the absolute best location. Right in the center of old town. You literally walk out the door and you are in the middle of it. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Rooms are clean, large, lots of storage and a/c works well. We mentioned we thought maybe our room might get noise from the outside road and they immediately offered to move us. Bit of story….we stayed here last night. I had a rough night & couldn’t sleep. I went to the lobby @ 4am, Chris was at the desk and offered to make me coffee & I agreed. After an hour I wanted to go back to bed & had forgotten my room key in the room. He made me another card to get back in no problem whatsoever. Very Nice Location
We stayed here for a short getaway recently. The rooms were a nice size with plenty of room to move around. I chose a view of the bay, and as nice as that was, the street noise may bother some, especially at night.We found the staff to be courteous and accommodating.The location is perfect for perusing the old town area and easy to navigate from if you wished to go on side trips. Good stay.. lost the charm
I’ve stayed here many times however this is the first time I’ve stayed since the renovations. I’m not sure how I feel about that. The fountain that was in the middle of the entrance is gone. The wall that separated the dining area from the lobby is gone. I miss that because it was a good separation for the two. The bar has been moved. All of the old charm is gone.
