Faint barnyard smell

The pool and common areas are lovely, but the rooms are dated and the whole hotel has a faint barnyard smell. If you’re going to the fair or the horse track, it’s probably okay as the location is perfect for that. Dirty and unkept hotel room. Never cleaned even when requested. Found used cotton swabs on floor, mold in bathroom floor. Was supposed to be there 4 days. The front desk staff and restaurant personnel were friendly and helpful, but this location is in need of an update. Our room’s shower door was very difficult to slide and the large window shade did not operate correctly. Worst hotel ever - Hilton Garden Inn San Diego Del Mar

Do not stay here - Hilton Garden Inn San Diego Del Mar is the worst hotel I've stayed in! The front desk reception ladies were extremely rude when I was trying to check-in and assigned me a room that was dirty and noisy with loud heater and air conditioning fans that cannot be turned off. Starting 8pm, I could hear people next door snoring and talking loudly, toilet flushing loudly and people stom… Do not stay here - Hilton Garden Inn San Diego Del Mar is the worst hotel I've stayed in! I stayed at Hilton Garden Inn San Diego-Del Mar for almost a week. I had a great tike there and every night when I was coming back to the hotel Tina made me feel so welcome and she was always smiling and asking about my day!
