This hotel is located 40 km east of Phoenix in the town of Mesa, minutes from the Sonoran Desert. Though truly a golfer's paradise, the resort can make arrangements for other exciting activities as well. The professional staff assists guests with arranging teeing-off times or planning activities such as a Sedona daytrip, a river float, a hot air balloon ride, sporting events and visits to casinos. Guests can also join a number of tours, including Grand Canyon or Indian ruins tours, tours of authentic Western ghost towns and jeep tours.

We used our VI points to stay 4 nights at Westgate Painted Mountain Resort. Our 2 bedroom unit was nicely remodeled and included a full kitchen, dining table and chairs, living room with sofa bed, stackable washer/dryer unit. We had a nice 1 bedroom with a master bath along with a 1 bedroom lock-off unit that was attached. Plenty of room for 4-6 people. Clean Property, Great Pool Area — But Rooms Are Misleading

We recently stayed at Painted Mountain and had a bit of a mixed experience.The property itself is very clean and well-maintained. There are quite a few things to do, and we especially enjoyed the pool area. The smaller hot tub near the pool was nice and relaxing, and the fire pit area was clean, comfortable, and a great place to spend time. ROACHES!!!!Despite how this hotel looks it is not a nice resort. We had roaches in our first room and they did not do anything about it for 2 days. they finally moved us to another room where the walls were so thin we were woken up every morning before 6 am by our neighbors. Avoid this hotel at all cost and stay in one of the similarly priced other hotels. Honestly if it hadn't been spring trainin… ROACHES!!!!Despite how this hotel looks it is not a nice resort. The rooms are very basic and in need of upgrades. There is no sound proofing between rooms and we could hear every word, cough, sneeze of the people next door.
