Questionable Management & Practices
My reservation was made by Mayo Clinic, & they were paying for my stay also. When I arrived, on 3/1/26, I was asked for a credit card, when I asked why, I was told it was just for a $100 hold, in case there were any damages, when I checked out it would be credited back to my card. Non-functional rooms created by crazed designers!
It’s clean and comfortable, the food is good. It was ideally situated near the Musical Instrument museum and many restaurants. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. But crazed designers were set loose in creating our non- functional room, which was inappropriate for seniors or anyone with bad knees, a normal neck or shorter people. Dreadful Stay!!!
Unfortunately we stayed here one night which was enough to convince us to never return. Being an Honors member and wishing to stick with member loyalty, we chose this place for a 1 night stay and immensely regret it. First, the air conditioning did not work (114 F/45 C day in Phoenix) in the original room given to us, so we had to change rooms to the opposite side of the building. Not For Sleeping
After traveling for 12.5 hours, it was not fun to get a room right next to the gym and have dropped weights wake you up at 0500. Then to transfer rooms and get stuck with an adjoining door. Those "neighbors" started talking at 0500 and they are, literally, right next to your bed. The shower floor and drain looked like athlete's foot. Management could care less. Comfortable and spacious rooms, good price, excellent location: five minutes from the Museum of Musical Instruments and Desert Ridge Mall. Very good breakfast, choice from the menu.
