Great place and greater employees

My husband and I stay here when we are coming or going to AZ. We stay here because the rooms are great as is the staff. We love going to the bar and having drinks and food while Chris and Markel (Markie Mark) are working. They have such great personalities and they remember us. Tonight we met Jay with his big smile he rounded out the trio. Of course we can’t forget the warm chocolate chip cookies! Sometimes we get comped their $25 breakfast buffet and sometimes we don’t. We truly enjoy it here very much.

A spacious room with a number of drawbacks

Overall, this was a mediocre experience. The room itself is spacious, and the beds are comfortable, but there are a number of things that are not as they should be. There is no lighting in the closet so it’s difficult to see very well into it; the hand bar in the shower has no texture, so it is very slippery when it is wet or soapy and it is dangerous for someone like me who really needs to hang onto something getting into and out of the shower; there is nowhere to hang a robe or clothes in the bathroom because it is a sliding door and they haven’t put a hook anywhere else; the ironing board is so flimsy that it moves just when you touch it and the iron actually went flying off of it when I just moved it a little bit.So it’s a mixed bag, but there are many things that need improvement to make it a good stay.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE SMELL (urine) AND GENERAL UNCLEANLINESS. We had to change rooms due to the horrible smell and the next one was only slightly better. I got a horrible headache and sinus reaction after just 2 minutes in the room (not typical for me). Pricing is outrageous. 2 nights came to over $1,000 for a crappy smelly room and HORRIBLE mattresses- no support and sagging. In general, very old and in need of BASIC maintenance services. Ugh

Stay Away - consider Sheraton Fairplex in Pomona

I travel extensively for work and family, so I don't expect more than what the hotel has to offer. But the front desk attendants were truly atrocious. First, they botched and bungled our daytime check-in with Day use.com. It took over an hour to get into our room, which is an eternity when we were exhausted from travel. Second, I am a Diamond Honors member and received NONE of the benefits that were expected. No meal credit, no late checkout, nothing. Third, when asking about late checkout via chat, I received a cut and paste response, which makes me question if they even checked. When we called later that evening, which is what many hotels ask to gauge whether a late checkout is possible, we were hung up on. This is the complete opposite of the service we received at the Sheraton Fairplex in Pomona. The housekeeping and restaurant service were excellent, but the front desk was *so* bad, that it merited one star. I cannot NOT recommend this any higher.

Have been staying here for years about 2-3 times a year. Have seen prices go through the roof for mediocre experience. Hotel capitalizes on its location and venue for wedding etc. $400+ a night is quite outrageous and a few minutes drive away equal quality of 1/3 to 1/4 price. Not going back.
