I wish I took my business elsewhere for my hotel block. I booked this hotel due to closer proximity to the venue, but wish I had booked a different hotel even if it meant being out if the way. Most unprofessional staff experience in 20 years from an over the road trucker
I am an over the road truck driver and was checked in at 5:30 am and the told clerk I needed the room for the day after driving all night. I was awoken by housekeeping at 11:30 am, saying morning management was forcing me to move to another room. I was charged for another room. Evening manager was refusing to give me a receipt. Argued with me for 10 minutes before finally giving me a receipt. Noisy Highway
Asked for room on other side of highway, front agent said there weren’t any without looking but said she has ‘no problem sleeping on the highway side when she stays here’. Seriously? This newer Hampton Inn and Suites is your best option if you are staying in Newburgh or Hudson Valley area.My family and I visit the area atleast twice a year to see relatives and this is our first time trying to stay in Newburgh. Be careful of this overpriced hotel (even in the off-season). As longtime Hilton Honors members, we were very disappointed.
