Great place to stay. Very clean and comfortable. We stayed there for 5 days and 6 nights. It was my birthday vacation. The Tiki Bar is very convenient and located in the pool area. We had a very positive experience at this Holiday Inn Express. It was clean, good breakfast, and friendly staff. The pool area was a pleasant surprise. Stayed one night. Nice hotel. Clean, good-looking rooms, and pretty standard breakfast buffet. Has an outstanding pool area with Tiki bar. Pretty close to the downtown area and waterfront. Definitely not your regular Holiday Inn Express (it appears to have had a former life as an upscale hotel property that HIE acquired). Dirty carpets, outdated. We usually pick IHG hotels because they are typically modern, new or renovated. We left after one night and booked down the Street at Hilton. 10,000x better. I was grossed out and had them switch my room, the second was just as bad. Ive stayed at this hotel maybe 30-40 nights this year. Most all great, friendly staff , great rooms and location. On my second to last stay we stayed outside 4 hours while police with automatic rifles sorounded the hotel. Hostage situation. Not a word from management.
