Just a Horrible experience!!

Garden Inn Hilton hotel located at 511 se Huron Blvd Minneapolis, Mn. This hotel was a complete horrible experience.Not only do they have limited parking but they charge you 30 dollars a night to park there and if don't find a parking spot, you have to find parking on the street and you still have to pay. They had a 6 hour power outage during my stay and no employee there had any resolution for the inconvenience.I had to leave the hotel because it was extremely hot and I had no power to get ready for my event that I missed because of this, you would think they would compensate the customers in some kind of way for this inconvenience but no! Just pay your money and be gone. Just complete greed!! Just a horrible Hotel. Beware!! You’ve been warned.

Convenient Location, but Room Odor and Service Issues Impacted Stay

The hotel was conveniently located near the convention center, restaurants, and shopping, and the pool, restaurant, and serving staff were great. However, our stay was impacted by a strong sulfur smell coming from the bathroom that became overwhelming overnight. The hotel was fully booked, so we couldn’t switch rooms. We also had issues at check-in when staff tried to charge us again for rooms that had already been prepaid through a third party. The front desk did provide complimentary drinks to make up for it. Late at night, I went to the front desk for help with the smell and waited about 20 minutes before someone came out to assist. All of the staff was amazing. Very friendly as well as accommodating. The hotel was very clean and inviting. I would go back to Minnesota just to stay there again. Overpriced and underwhelming

Where to begin? Parking? yes, $30 per night. the lobby…with a bar right at the entrance. our flight was delayed so we arrived late. Tuesday evening and there were so many people and the place was so loud you couldn’t hear yourself think. We had push through the inebriated “guests” to get to the front desk, practically yell at the host to be heard and then go up one floor to get to the elevators to avoid crossing the bar area. The room - dated is the most polite word I can think of. No niceties, not even a pen. Beds were comfy although feather pillows are an allergy attack waiting to happen. Food - delicious but cold and be prepared to pay dearly and $10 if you have it delivered. Coffee is gross. The “convenience” shop is anything but, $55 for a turkey sandwich, with stale bread, bottle of water & cookie for lunch…and the list goes on. Moral to the story, if money, convenience and english speaking service are important to you then you can mark this place off the list of options. Perfect for the convention center

Loved everything about this hotel. Location within sight and easy walk of convention center. Clean, friendly staff, and everything I needed for a good stay. Will be back!
