    Solid budget choice

    rating04 Jun 2026

The Broadmore isn't the sort of place that can be summed up with a simple star rating. It's worn, quirky, and undeniably dated, but for the right traveller it can represent excellent value.I live in London, UK, and stayed here for 8 nights in May 2026.I booked through Opodo and paid around $105 per night. At that price, I wasn't expecting luxury. Reading some of the reviews beforehand genuinely made me laugh - People seemed to have some very ambitious expectations for a budget hotel.First of all, I'm baffled by claims that this is a sketchy area. The 100 bus from the airport stops about two minutes from the hotel, which is incredibly convenient. The nearby construction work is related to improvements at the adjacent library, and the only part that could remotely be described as "sketchy" is a small alleyway by the pool. The lobby is a little worn but has a certain Art Deco charm. Richie on reception was outstanding and gave me a welcome I'd expect from a much more expensive hotel. The lift is painfully slow, but it works. I stayed on the fourth floor and usually took the stairs anyway. The hallways and carpets are showing their age, but my room was perfectly acceptable. The door locked properly, the air conditioning was loud but effective, the sheets were clean, and the mattress was firm and comfortable. The bathroom was dated… I haven't seen separate hot and cold taps in decades! And the bath drained slowly, but everything functioned. The location is excellent. Walgreens, the beach, and the bus stop are all within a few minutes' walk. Being able to grab snacks, fruit, or a drink and be back in your room within 15 minutes is fantastic.Having a fridge was a huge bonus. I made my own breakfasts and the occasional packed lunch, which saved a lot of money. If I stayed again, I'd bring a travel kettle, mug, and some cutlery for tea, coffee, and occasional ramen. The pool, however, is honestly one of the most forlorn and worn out hotel pools I've ever seen! I didn’t even consider sunbathing next to it.If you're planning a luxury holiday or trying to impress someone, this probably isn't the hotel for you. But if you want a clean room, a locking door, running water, air conditioning, a comfortable bed, and one of the cheapest rates on Miami Beach that isn't a hostel dorm, it does the job well.Every member of staff I met was friendly and helpful. I chatted with some of the housekeeping staff too, hard working, making a living in a busy city, each with their own stories to tell. By staying here, using public transport, and making my own lunches, I know I saved hundreds of dollars and still had an amazing time in Miami.Would I bring a partner here? Honestly, no. Would I recommend it to friends travelling on a budget? Yes, provided they're not overly fussy. Would I stay here again? At around $100 a night, quite possibly.A 3/5 rating is probably fair based purely on the condition of the hotel. However, for value, location, staff, air conditioning, and a surprisingly comfortable bed, I'd personally give it 4/5. I never woke up thinking, "Wow, what a hotel!" But when I got home, I found myself thinking, "I had a fantastic time in Miami"—and that simply wouldn't have been possible without the Broadmore and the staff who I’m sure are well aware of the buildings limitations; But still offer a world class service to keep it running

    STAY AWAY

    rating09 May 2026

When I tell you this is the WORST HOTEL I’ve ever stayed at in my life ..trust me. It’s smelly, dirty and moldy. The bathtub and sink have prison style facets that you’d see at Alcatraz. The tub and sink back up so you can’t shower for longer than 3 minutes. We ordered food from Uber Eats and took it to the beach bc the hotel room was so nasty we didn’t want to eat in there. The beds were not double beds they were more like a single with a tiny bit more room.. the bedsheets had the nastiest stains. We slept in our clothes, thankfully we only had to stay there for one night. The furniture was from the 50s and had rust on it … this place is dusty and In need of some serious updating. There’s Contruction on going in the hotel which isn’t a big deal just have to walk around it to get to the beach. The staff are friendly, the bar and restaurant attached is nice..the elevator is theee slowest thing, they tell you to take the stairs. I wish I could have had my money refunded bc of how horrible this place was. The staff and the restaurant was the only thing good about this place … stay elsewhere

Hidden gem right on the beach!

    rating06 Apr 2026

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the Broadmoor, thanks to the exceptional care from general manager, Jennifer Kerr! What started as a simple online booking quickly turned into a stressful double-booking situation. The third-party website wasn’t helpful at all—but thankfully, Jennifer stepped in and truly saved the day. She handled everything with such care and professionalism, and it reminded us just how much great customer service matters. The location is absolutely spectacular—right on the beach! Even with some ongoing construction on the beach side, we were still able to easily walk around it and enjoy everything the area has to offer. Having lounge chairs waiting for us was such a nice touch and made relaxing even easier. The rooms are simple with minimal furnishings, which kept things easy and comfortable. Our only small wish would be for a coffee pot either in the room or available in the lobby. The neighborhood is very safe, with plenty of variety of food. Eating El Fresca at many of them was a rare pleasure. There’s even a restaurant attached to the hotel. The bike and walking path that stretches from North Beach to South Beach is a perk with CitiBikes available nearby.Overall, a wonderful stay, made even better by the people who truly care about their guests. The entire staff was amazing! We’ll surely be back next year!

Broadmoor Miami Beach - This hotel is not as it appears online

    rating23 Mar 2026

Travelers BEWARE! I just wanted to give anyone planning to book a stay at this hotel that the pictures noted online are totally deceiving and are completely out of date. The hotel is in dire need of renovations, smells, and we were completely duped. We came in late on a Friday night and were exhausted from a full day of travel. Upon arrival at the hotel, we initially thought we were getting dropped off by our Lyft driver who spoke limited English in a dark alley, however, after a call to the hotel, we were informed we were at the correct place. That was our first sign. At check in we were put on the 7th floor and then informed the elevator was "out of order." The exact words to my husband who is almost 60 years old were, "you look like a strong guy." My husband ended up carrying two 50-pound suitcases up seven flights of stairs with no offer of help from the front desk or hotel staff. We were told the elevator would be fixed the next day. The rooms were nothing special, the window air conditioner ran non-stop, and there was absolutely no water pressure. The restaurant on site was also nothing special even though it was hyped up to be. I normally do not leave a review but felt it was necessary so that someone else does not make the mistake of booking at this property and experiencing what we did. The elevator was still not fixed when we left two days later, and I bet it is still not fixed to this day.
