Terrible - stay away
Hotel needs an urgent renovation. Halls smell of humidity. Does not meet (by a mile) the standards of a Double Tree Hotel. I would rate it 3 stars even if it was a Hampton Inn. The very worst hotel
I am a frequent traveler, and this was quite possibly the most depressing hotel I've ever stayed in. I understand it's under renovation, but it goes beyond that. From the parking lot, where one is often required to park in the back, alone, at night, with no security and a dark woods bordering, it goes downhill from there. Don’t stay here! Room was clean but beds were overused and lumpy. Breakfast at restaurant next door was lacking and awful. Hotel under renovation but was not notified at time of booking. Visiting family in the area. The hotel was very clean and comfortable, even though there were renovations taking place. Valerie at the front desk was a pleasure. It is rare for me to write negative reviews but this was one of the worst hotel experiences my husband and I have ever had. After returning from a trip overseas that took 2 days of travel, we were looking forward to a hot shower and a good night's sleep. This hotel needs major refurbishing.
