Pool is closed, Bar closes early, and the coffee shop wasn't opened in the morning

This hotel has a great location and the bed was wonderful. However, the place was dead! We had hoped to swim because the hotel advertises an indoor pool but here were black tarps up at the door and gym window. We also found that the cafe and bar weren't opened during the advertised hours. I would stay at this hotel again because I slept well but I was disappointed in how the amenities were advertised and managed. i love the valet

I had a wonderful experience with the valet today. My valets were Benjamin, Tai, Emilio, and Liban. We had some issues the night before with valet, but this morning the team was preforming like a well oiled machine. They had a lot of people waiting for their cars. Great service especially the valet

Hotel was very nice and clean! Service was very excellent and I was greeted by valet Samy when I first arrived and he helped with my bags to my room and was quick to get my car back to me. This hotel needs a remodel in the worst way. It is very outdated in regards to furniture in the rooms and the elevators were being worked on every day I was there.Customer service leaves a LOT to be desired. On the day I was leaving they apparently were doing service on all three elevators. When I went to take the elevator to check out, it didn't work. There was nothing on the elevator stating they were out of service nor was anyone around on the floor to let anyone know. After hauling my luggage down from the 10th floor, I went to turn in my key and checkout. I asked the manager (I'm assuming) how long the elevators had been out and he said it was about an hour so far. I told him it would have been nice to have someone let the guests know. His response was we called and knocked. If they called, they didn't leave a message. And if they knocked they didn't do it very loudly. Every other Hilton property I visit will send text messages throughout the entire stay asking how things are going. No text message from this hotel and no message in the app about the elevator either. Manager (?) didn't seem to care that guests were being inconvenienced by this as his attitude was "we called and knocked". If it's something that's going to be that intrusive to your guests, I would think you would make sure you exhausted every method to let them know. Hotel needs to be remodeled and brought into the 2020's. The location of this hotel is great if you are doing anything around the downtown area of Lansing, but it's outdated feel is probably going to keep people from staying there. Great experience at the Doubletree!

We had a great experience at the Doubletree Lansing. Check in was easy, and the front desk was prepared to welcome us when we got there, thanks to the pre-planning! Everyone was so helpful and friendly! The showers are wonderful and the room was spotless. Can’t wait to come back!
