The hotel is located in the mountains, in Stateline, adjacent to Heavenly Ski Resorts' Nevada Stagecoach Chair Lift on the south shore of Lake Tahoe. Overlooking the breathtaking and beautiful Carson Valley, it is nestled on a spectacular Sierra Nevada ridge. A shuttle service whisks guests 10 km to Lake Tahoe and the casino nightlife.

We took a chance on a place with no air conditioning. Bad choice!!!!! You would think you have windows in the room that open. Wrong! According to ordnances windows can only open about 2” which is insufficient for cooling the room. The first 2 nights we were here it was warm in the room. Disaster or worse. Poor Maintenance and worse attitudes!

The room sounded like a freight train was running through it. My wife had been here for 5 days and on day one informed the front desk of the awful noise. I showed up on night 6… I am not one that accepts ignoring a clear simple fix so I called the front desk. Problem one, was the front desk tried to shrug it off as wind noise that cannot be managed… finally I convinced them to send engineering.15… The room sounded like a freight train was running through it. The hotel has about 10 different buildings, and there's just one clubhouse (reception). After check-in, you're pretty much on your own. It's more like a self-serviced apartment rental than a hotel. Rooms are cleaned only once every five days. You need to take your own trash out. The rooms feel quite old. The wall is so thin so that you hear everything from the next room.
