My stay at the Shiloh hotel was excellent family type environment made me feel at home. The service was great. The hotel was great. Well organized for solar eclipse
Stayed here two nights for the April 8th solar eclipse. Although the hotel was fully booked, everything was well organized and the whole check in process was seamless. As a bonus, there were vendors selling eclipse souvenirs and glasses. The hotel had also organized a meet and greet for those interested in the eclipse. Gone Downhill in Recent Years
I have been staying at this hotel occasionally for the past 8 to 10 years, but they have really let the place go downhill. It was once very immaculate but they have failed to do proper maintenance and upgrades. For example, my room had an old square, tube-style television. The carpet in the hallways, at least on the fourth floor, was wrinkled and stained. This hotel is very run down and in need of major updating. There is no restaurant as advertised, we did not have our room cleaned despite asking to have it done. When we came back after dinner to find our room hadn't been cleaned, we asked for clean towels and were told there were none to give us. The pool was closed.l for repair. The staff was very attentive. Classy, posh type environment. The rooms where very roomy and comfortable. My key had an issue (electronic card type) and when I brought it up to the staff.
