terrifying experience
Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel based on my experience.During my stay, there was a significant police incident involving the room next to mine. In the early morning hours, there was repeated shouting, loud commotion, and officers pounding on the neighboring door. As a guest staying immediately next door, it was a frightening and unsettling experience, especially not knowing what was h… Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel based on my experience.During my stay, there was a significant police incident involving the room next to mine. Saved Us In Our Time of Need
We got “stranded” when our first flight delayed due to the Kona Storm and missed our connection. The airline couldn’t rebook us for two days. It took us 3 hours of sitting in the rain in an area with no electricity to find this hotel. They by the grace of god had a room available! It was not a big room, but had a bed and a bathroom and it was clean, and that’s all we needed! Stylish design, but noisy, uncomfortable, and poor treatment of guests
I stayed at Shoreline Hotel Waikiki for one night from January 23–24, 2026 while in town for the BIA tradeshow. As a lighting designer, I was initially drawn to the colorful, playful design and relatively low price, and the location just a block from Kalakaua Avenue sounded ideal.Unfortunately, the actual experience did not match the appearance. It is not a 4 star hotel
The hotel is in a excellent location. Right in the heart of everything. The staffs are friendly and helpful. But it is not what one expect for a 4 star rating hotel. The negative side is overall condition of the hotel is quite run down. Rooms are tiny and tight space all around. All facility overall are quite dated . The rooftop swimming pool is a joke. It looks like it has been abandoned for year… The hotel is in a excellent location. Right in the heart of everything. The staffs are friendly and helpful. Comfy hotel in great location
The location of the Shoreline is perfect. The beach is an 8 minute walk, and everything you need is close by. The room was nice, bed was comfortable, and I really had a comfortable one-week stay.I will definitely stay here again. Although the hotel (and room) is nice, this is in a very densely packed part of Waikiki, so there is some outdoor noise.
