Strolling out of the hotel away from the park, guests will come across the broad stretch of Kalakaua Avenue, the heartbeat of Waikiki. Kalakaua Avenue's main attractions are hundreds of shops. Honolulu Zoo is also only 1 minute away on foot and it is a 15-minute walk to the International Marketplace and 30 minutes on foot to the Diamond Head Crater. Waikiki Beach is just a 1-minute walk from the historical hotel.

The hotel has 15 junior suites, 2 suites, 87 single rooms and 211 double rooms, which are located on 19 storeys and are reachable by lift. The room was nice with no frills. The View to the park was awesome. They gave me an upgrade. There is a little bit of road noise but not enough to ruin my stay. Would stay there again. Overall, my wife and I were throughly pleased and impressive with our experience at Queen Kapi’olani. The location o of the hotel is at the end of the Waikiki strip making it more quiet and calm but still only a really short walk to the beach, cafes, and restaurants.
