  We were booked in area in Kihei that was badly flooded during Kona storm and found a safe haven at the Days Inn. Excellent customer service. The room was cleaned daily. We were very thankful for the Days Inn and hope all the staff and their families are safe from the flooding.

  Chris was fabulous at the front desk. Fun to visit with and helpful when the Kona Storm pushed water into our doorway. Used multiple towels to stop up this big storm water. Room is a small basic hotel room. Would of been helpful to have drawers to unpack our suitcases.Location is a BIG plus. You can snorkle right out from the hotel. Hotel on the beachside of S. Kihei road. About 1 mile walk down to Fred's Mex Restaurant. Good convenience store right next store open during the day.

  Great location by the beach

  We were surprised how nice of hotel this was. Right on the beach. They provided beach chairs. They had water in the lobby. Room was clean, check in and check out was quick and easy. Very quiet at night. The grounds crew was working to keep the area in good shape. I would recommend.

  Great Location and Staff, But Very Tight Quarters & Poor Storage

  This hotel has a lot going for it, especially the location and the staff, but the room layout and lack of storage made our stay more frustrating than it should have been.The room itself is very small — roughly 10 x 15 feet, about the size of a standard bedroom at home — yet it’s packed with a desk, chair, armoire, vanity/changing area, lamps, mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. While we appreciated how well-equipped the space was, it simply isn’t large enough to comfortably accommodate all of it. The result is a cramped layout with almost no usable surface or storage space.Storage was the biggest issue. There was barely anywhere to place our suitcases without tripping over them, and that was with just two people, each with only a carry-on. The closet was completely full of items like beach chairs and an ironing board (which is nice to have), but it left zero room for clothes or personal belongings. The TV stand had a large open void behind it, which allowed items to fall behind and become inaccessible. We would have much preferred that surface extend fully to the wall to provide more usable counter space, which was sorely needed.The bathroom was similarly tight, with no counter space at all and no light in the shower, which made it feel dark and impractical.That said, there are several meaningful positives. The staff were wonderful, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. Parking is free and secure, which is a big plus. The beach access and beach area are outstanding, and we loved having Tommy Bahama chairs and beach towels provided. The AC worked great, and the window shutters nearly blackout the room, which helped with sleep. Water pressure was solid. We also appreciated the free bottled water available in the grab-and-go breakfast fridge, along with yogurts and creamers for coffee. The in-room Keurig was convenient, and we had no trouble getting more pods daily.Overall, this is a great option if you value location, beach access, and service, but travelers who need space, storage, or comfort in the room itself may find it quite challenging. That said - all things considered, we would book again - just with adjusted expectations around room size!

  Pleasantly surprised by Days Inn in Kihei

  We just needed a one night stay at the end of our trip, but we still wanted access to the beach for our last Maui sunset. This motel has been here for a long time, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised that it was updated, well-maintained, clean and it had air conditioning! The beach and beach access exceeded expectations and the hotel provides 2 beach chairs and beach towels. It is also walkable--about a mile to Kihei for shopping and restaurants. I would stay here again.
