Yavapai lodge was closed because of the storm and I was never informed by trip advisor. This was the second time staying at Yavapi Lodge. The previous visit being in 2024. In terms of value for the south rim this is definitely the most budget friendly in-park option although of course the location is a compromise as it is a reasonable walk to the canyon itself.Check-in was smooth very efficient. Great location, expected more for cost
The location was tiptop. We loved being in the park with walkable access to so much around the southern rim of the Grand Canyon. The staff were so great at check-in - personable and welcoming. The room was a little sparse - which may have been an oversight on my part. I was expecting a microwave - and the fridge was not cooling too well. The Yavapai lodge is a wonderful location with wonderful front desk staff, helpful employees and comfortable accommodations. The bathroom sink in our room needs attention, the water sprayed all over when u turned it on. We enjoyed the wall art and the window view. The beds are comfortable as are the outside chairs for star gazing.
