Check in took forever. I was charged for checking in one hour before check in. Very rude receptionist the following morning 18 May. I asked her about the airport shuttle , she said take an uber. We booked here for two nights before our cruise. The first night, we were awakened by a fire alarm at 4:30 am. The fire was on our floor, smoke in the hall, and we had to evacuate immediately, with many still in their pajamas. This was bad enough, but this hotel did not extend ONE THING to help us when they told us we all had to leave and find another place to stay. We stayed here before going on a Caribbean Cruise to get over jetlag beforehand. Reception were always extremely helpful, inparticular Marshall, who arranged a taxi to pick us up as being from abroad, we were unable to get an Uber etc. The room was clean and the blueberry pancakes for breakfast were delicious.
