40th birthday trip fun! Perfect location!!
We went back and forth deciding on staying close to Duval Street or on the other end in some of the newer resorts. We opted for Pier House because it had everything we needed and the location was perfect. SO THANKFUL we did this!! We drove to the other resorts we looked at and they were so far from everything, had zero beach area or the beach was covered in seaweed. This is definitely the spot! Over the last 10 years, we have stayed at the Pier House several times . The location is perfectly located near all of the fun of Duval but off the road enough for it to be a quiet, tropical oasis. Great location - needs updating
The good - great location, decent little beach, rooms are good- sized. Breakfast is great. The gym was nice.The needs improvement- the beds and linens- beds are uncomfortable and the sheets and towels feel old and cheap. Everything looks run down, scuffed paint and doors.
