I stayed here for 8 nights (9 days) while in town for the AP Reading. While the hotel’s historic charm and retro decor are definitely cool, the actual stay left a lot to be desired.The Cons: Check-In Delay: College Board informed us check-in was at 4:00 PM, but my room wasn’t ready until well after 7:00 PM, which is unacceptable after a long day of travel. Outdated Climate Control & Utilities: The AC units feel like they’re from the era the hotel opened. You have to leave it blasting on the lowest setting all day just to make the room somewhat comfortable by the evening. The shower hot water barely worked, too. (The only silver lining was that Cincinnati in June is muggy af, so a cold shower wasn't the worst thing, but it’s still broken infrastructure). The Atmosphere: The historic vibe is nice, but overall the property just feels very dark and dingy. Front Desk Response: While the staff was friendly, they seemed totally desensitized to these complaints and didn't seem interested in actually resolving anything.The Pros: Housekeeping: The absolute highlight of the stay. The housekeeping team is incredible—my room was absolutely spotless every single day when I came back, and their hard work was deeply appreciated.Final Verdict:If I am back in the city for another reading in the future, I will definitely be requesting a different hotel. This property is a skip for me.

Beautiful Hotel & Restaurant in Cincinnati

I had the pleasure of being a part of this spectacular, unique wedding in this dreamlike 1930s setting. I am truly blessed. The hotel staff were kind and professional, the restaurant food options were a-plenty and affordable. The hotel room cost was affordable.

Nothing but ice cold showers

The staff was friendly for the most part. The housekeeping staff kept our room spotless. The hot water did not work. 4 nights of no hot water. We were told “it’s an old hotel let it run.” We could have let it run the whole stay it was not going to get hot. When I asked about any kind of discount or refund they told me no because I booked through trip advisor.

Working shower too much to expect

No cold water only hot….. couldn’t shower… plumbing pipes were banging in the walls at all hours of the night…sink had two hot taps no cold see picture… I thought it was just the wrong handle but both were scalding hot.. staff was very dismissive of the problem…. Will never go back

We stayed here for the historic architecture and full service Hilton amenities. The location is great! The rooms are older but comfortable with everything needed. The breakfast buffet was excellent as was the service and decor.
