  location location location is real and GREAT at this brands Red Roof Inn Plus! The location atmosphere is all about Charlestons City and the beach shores outer areas from the hotel location. The hotel atmosphere is price, first pet free ,and whole team of staff. Rooms, modern, comfortable chairs and bed. With each room having equal to likeness of space and amenities. The whole staff work though our messes,mistakes and mishaps to regain a clean and well in line of freshness to what we level behind after our stays have ended. From the calls into the front desk for extras or even of need they want each person to feel warm and welcome. Even when pushing through the mishaps of which was most likely due to prior or current oops from their customers or customers pet or pets plus the manager is well excepting of truth first and no second chance so get it right or move on shows in his kindness and experience never gets to his head he will do what ever it takes to make it right or make the oops return to what and how it once was before the oops or mistake be it the hotel customer, the hotel staff, or him self the hotel manager there no level of pride in his management skills of delivering or return of satisfaction to his customers and employee staff team members. He truely is grounded to be one whom will do as he ask of other to do by. Go enjoy the warm caring and real people working to give the hotel what it needs to satisfy each welcomed customers to gain your return. Trust me, they will win you over each time you return to stay with then at the hotel they keep safe,clean and inviting to & for each of us and our pet or pet's!   This is a motel so we were under no illusions about having breakfast or other standard amenities. However we were paying for a 3-star hotel here. Made no sense. Booked online but had to pay more here. The manager Becky was just horrible. Where do you find these people? Do they even graduate high school? Do you train them at all? This foul-mouthed woman should not be in charge of a hotel. She just starts yelling when she disagrees with you. Not professional and kind of scary.Will not be returning.   This is a motel not a hotel and run by rude terrible people

  I came to the area to participate in the bridge run. The event was great, but this location left a lot to be desired. Where do I even begin? The rates were not what we were told on the phone. We paid more than $240 a night for a two-star motel. They said it was booked but the hotel seemed pretty empty.There were staff and hotel guests arguing throughout in the lobby, outside, by the rooms, by the cars. It was intense!A dark short woman at the front desk seemed to enjoy watching people suffer. Terrible.Another woman with black short hair was eavesdropping on conversations and had a lot of negative things to say. These are the employees!Then the "Manager" was a crazy woman yelling at people constantly. Zero self-control.There was no coffee or anything at the front desk except these angry people. A computer was down. We patiently waited. One of the guys there was nice but seemed very stressed out by the manager and other staff. Location is good, room wasn't bad, but the management and staff are absolutely terrible. Would not recommend. Way too stressful and rude people. Yuck.   DO NOT STAY HERE. This place is terrible. The front desk area smells of cigarette smoke. The room itself was dirty. Although the bed was made, there was a used wet towel in the bathroom, the toilet was dirty and the room was generally unclean. The cleaner was adamant he had cleaned the room. I did not feel comfortable staying here due to the uncleanliness of the room. I let the front desk staff know, they said I could not get a refund. I lost $270 and would caution anyone booking here. I have stayed in many budget places, motels & hostels before and this was by far the worst.   This hotel is a nice place. I was surprised at how nice the rooms are -- very clean and well maintained. My girlfriend and I had a nice getaway here while here for a work project. She really liked how quiet it is and we have a dog so that helped too.I would give it 5 stars if not for the front desk guy Dennis who was in a bad mood for our entire stay! He was rude even when we tried to cheer him up. Stressful to be around and off putting. We wanted to leave immediately but stayed to finish out the work project!
