This exquisite hotel is situated on the historic Cannery Row overlooking Monterey Bay. It is situated just minutes walk away from the Maritime Museum and Fisherman's Wharf.

Guests have a choice of 290 rooms located in a 4-storey main building and 2 auxiliary buildings. English-speaking staff at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and cash machine. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities and a lift. A fireplace creates a cosy atmosphere. Beautiful Lobby and awful rooms

When I walked into the lobby, I was overwhelmed. It is really beautiful and the views are amazing. But then you get to the room and it is all downhill from there. We got stuck in the "other building" across the street so maybe the rooms in the original part of the hotel are nice and these are where the outdated 1980s Marriott generic hotel rooms live. Beautiful Hotel in a Great Location

We stayed one night here with friends and so very happy we did. The hotel is right on the water and gorgeous inside, the staff was helpful and friendly, and the hotel’s restaurants are great (a bit pricey, but everything in that area is). We very much enjoyed the live music in the beautiful lobby lounge 6-10pm. Rooms were excellent. Would definitely stay here again! A cool get away!

The Monterey Plaza is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy mother nature's beauty at the nearby aquarium or a gentle stroll along the ocean to see the seals, seal lions and otters on your way to pier. Whale watching is also wonderful. We saw blue whales and Finned whales which are rare to see.
