NICE property. A little secluded but just minutes from downtown. Price is reasonable for Monterey. If handicapped/disabled mention that and you get free parking that otherwise is $20/night. Terrible experience here. Would not recommend. Arrived to find they gave away our upgraded room to someone else. They offered us a free parking space for our inconvenience but even told us “good luck finding a space.” In addition, finding the room itself was a maze. This was the most disappointing stay I have ever had at a Hilton property. The hotel feels like a subpar attempt at updating a motel while still charging typical Hilton prices. I expected more from a Hilton. Everyone working there was really nice, but our room had a funky smell and definitely wasn’t the cleanest. For $200 a night I’d stay somewhere else in the future.
