Booked here based on it being a central location and from the pictures on booking site appeared nice and clean. Arrived into pub to check in, yound lad was nice who gave us keys, went ourselves to check into room that was in an old stable yard. The room was dire. Fantastic trip to Ripon
A lovely quiet courtyard room. Had everything you’d need with no fuss and excellent dog friendly space. Nice pub attached. Located in a great area close to the town centre. Some lovely local town walks. Incredible Cathedral inside and out. A must to visit. Workhouse Museum and Police/Jail museum. Great doggy friendly restaurants and pubs. Needs a good clean, smells of dog and damp.
This is a budget hotel and the staff are friendly and helpful, but we had to leave as the standard of cleanliness is poor. The first room we were shown smelled of dog. There were dog hairs all over the carpet and air fresheners trying to mask the smell. Great host but worst hotel room ive ever had
This is a review that I posted on hotels.com but it wouldn't let me post my pictures. Absolutely terrible. I booked this venue on the basis of excellent reviews and I'm either assuming we were given the worst room there or the reviews are fake. Room was filthy, cobwebs over ceiling, filthy bed base, mould spores in shower, dust everywhere and I have taken photos for evidence.
