    Visited over Easter met my family. We had a good coffee and Caeser Sandwich. Peaceful and wonderful service and such a friendly welcome from Kelcy as always. Will always return when in the area.     Poor experience in the restaurant

    The restaurant was poor. We arrived for lunch just before 12.30, with view to booking a room afterwards. First of all staff were washing the restaurant floor so we sat at a table and waited. After 15 mins we realised we had to order at the bar. It was difficult to order as the member of staff was not familiar with the menu or the till. When ordering shepherds pie it could not be found on the till, we were told we could not have it. Some one else had to come to the till to do it. When it came it was good. The salad with soft egg and chicken missed out the egg. The lime sorbet was so, so strong in flavour that it tasted of chemicals.The chocolate ice cream replacing it, we had one scoop and they wanted to charge us £7.75 for it. We managed to get a refund of £7.75 after all of this hassle. There was lots other little things not worth mentioning. The coffee after the meal was good. The staff tried hard in difficult circumstances.This experience was not good, so we left and booked in else where.
