This hotel is situated in Edinburgh's lively theatre district, just a few minutes on foot from the town centre. Edinburgh's main station (Waverley Station) is only some 10 min away on foot. Further links to the public transport network (bus and train), shops, restaurants, bars and pubs in the city centre are approximately 500 m away. The nearest nightclub is around 1 km from the hotel. The sea and some wonderful beaches are about 5 km away and are a good destination for a day trip. Edinburgh airport is some 12 km away.

The holiday apartments were built in 1910. 9 single rooms and 43 double rooms are located on 2 storeys and can be reached by lift. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. A baggage storage service and a safe are available.     Stayed at the cairn hotel in Edinburgh for my partners birthday. We had a studio with massive bed and a kitchenette. Decor was clean and fresh. All staff we encountered were lovely and friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

    Excellent location walkable to Royal Mile. Quiet atmosphere away from busy roads along with comfortable beds make for good sleep. Breakfast was reasonably priced, taking into account overall high prices in Edinburgh. Rooms were clean. Drawbacks were very small rooms/ somewhat to be expected in the area and hallway carpet stains.
