We came here early January to explore the city centre of Edinburgh. The location is very central and you will find it a good base of operations.Rooms and service were fine but not quite worth the price tag for the rooms we had - it's the centre of Edinburgh so you end up paying a lot for very little which we expected so it's no complaint.We used the hotel breakfast most mornings - it was decent and we ate our money's worth so would recommend it to start the day off until you find local independent places you enjoy more. The hotel bar is barely a bar but that's fine as there are hundreds of pubs/bars in Edinburgh.Overall it was pretty... Ibis-standard really, just expensive but we expected that. Really helpful staff, dropped our bags on the first morning without an issue and went back later to check in and go to our room. Clean and adequate rooms, decent breakfast .
