Location

The hotel is located within the historic city walls, which date back to the 17th century. It occupies an enviable central location with a number of shops, bars, theatres and nightlife to be found close by. The hotel is also an ideal base for exploring the Donegal, Derry and Antrim Coastlines. In addition, Belfast International Airport is approximately 58 km away.

Facility

93 non-smoking rooms, including 38 single rooms, are located on 4 storeys and can be reached by lift. English-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. A cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and drinks machine are available. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel offers various facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. There are also a number of shops that make for great strolling and browsing. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air.     Great experience at Maldron Hotel Derry

    We just returned from a golf trip to Northern Ireland, and we spent 5 nights at Maldron Hotel Derry. First of all, the location and the atmosphere was excellent, the rooms were clean & well appointed, the breakfast buffet was great, and the restaurant & bar had an excellent menu. Having said that, the staff and the service were extraordinary. They helped us with advice on touring the city and finding restaurants, and parking our oversized van. The entire hotel staff was awesome, friendly and helpful. We had a major problem with lost luggage & golf clubs for three people, and Shannon & April took the lead on calling airports, shipping companies, and airlines to locate our bags and arrange transfers. This a great hotel and we would definitely stay there again !

    Had a one night visit to the Maldron and it was a very good choice. I had a meal in the bar on the Friday evening and the chicken pasta dish was superb and good value for money. Staff are really helpful and fruemdly, will be back.     Best time ever!

    On arrival we got free underground parking which is a big bonus. Then we were met with a lovely happy receptionist. She let us leave our bags and told us how to find the Derry girls mural. Also suggested somewhere nice to have lunch which was great! We walked the wall and returned to the hotel. On return we met a different receptionist. I explained we had left our bags, checked in earlier but never got a room key. Such a surprise!!!! The receptionist at the start who we now know is called Caoimhe had upgraded us to the Erin Suite as it was our third wedding anniversary. Also some chocolates in the room with a lovely note.We had such a brilliant time in this hotel and all the staff were amazing. Best time ever!     I just wanted to leave a special mention and huge thank you to Aisling, who was the manager. Honestly her service was unreal I have never experienced anything like it before, she handled everything perfectly and made the whole day run so smoothly and effortlessly.But more than just being brilliant at her job, she is genuinely such a good person, so kind, warm and helpful nothing was ever too much trouble and she went above and beyond for us at every step. You could really tell she cares and puts her heart into what she does. She honestly made such a difference to the whole experience, we couldn’t have asked for anyone better.
