Very clean hotel albeit quite dated. About a 15/20 minute walk to the waterfront. The pools and jacuzzi were a bonus. We were room only so can’t comment on the food but we enjoyed our stay. Stayed once again at the Monterey Hotel this time to celebrate our anniversary .As always our room was clean and bright ,fresh towels every day.Tea and Coffee topped up when needed .Breakfast was good plenty of variety ,and friendly helpful staff looking after everyone. Bar food again was good ,we didn't eat in restaurant. Just returned from Monterey hotel. Firstly the staff were all lovely and we were half board and the food was really good. There is a bus stop right outside which was a bonus. I did ask before my stay for a room with walk in shower due to mobility and although this could not be guaranteed unfortunately I had to make do with strip washes as shower in spa was not appropriate. Absolutely brilliant. So clean and fantastic food. Every member of staff from Reception, Restaurant and Room Service, greeted guest's with a welcoming smile. As a senior lady travelling on my own, I appreciated the attention I received.
