Stayed at Chateau La Chaire for a long weekend purchased as a Virgin Experience Package. Cannot fault the hotel. The people were lovely, the room was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The spa bath was lovely, the breakfast, generous and the service was great. Dinner in the Rozel restaurant was fantastic and we would happily come back. So glad this was a deal. So disappointed, afternoon tea turned out to be one scone jam and cream and even though I had requested GF plus emailed a reminder they defrosted a scone which made it warm and soggy. Inedible. Was not expecting a full ‘tea’ but one scone , really. We had been up graded free of charge which was extremely nice gesture but the room hadn’t been used for a while was musty smel… So glad this was a deal.
