We visited the hotel as day guests ahead of our late flight home to the UK and we had to vacate our villa at 10am. Booked via email all very accommodating, offered us breakfast and to arrange airport transfer. The reality was beyond disappointing. Although we didn’t have to stay in the room itself, it was so dated, with brown carpet and decor coupled with old fixtures and fittings. The rooms stink of sewage and there are stains all over the sheets. The pool had dirty plasters all in the water and hair,tissue and dead bugs. We had mixed thoughts about booking this hotel due to some of the reviews. We decided to go ahead and book and our stay was amazing. The views are stunning and the infinity pool is incredible. There is a beach club a short 5min walk down the hill which is lovely (Kalamar Beach Club) and they have a shuttle that takes you back to your hotel. Could be better if they cared more

Kalamar hotel has its pros and cons, but I feel like the cons are easily fixable, there’s just no one who cares enough to fix them. The location of the hotel is the biggest plus, the view is gorgeous, and the walk to the beach is short, but steep. I don’t blame them for that as it is literally on the side of a mountain. The problems vary from small to medium.
