  A small, quiet hotel with friendly, family atmosphere

  Special greetings for the whole staff, especially receptionist, bartender, and staff at the restaurant—like Mehmet, to name a few <3 Despite some minor disadvantages (like the quality of the sunbeds, lack of English channels on the TV, and not many food options), we really enjoyed our stay. We met very friendly people there (tourists and staff). The food was fresh (both vegetarians and meat-eaters will enjoy it). And there are a couple of cats here! (actually, you can see some stray cats and dogs in the entire city, and they are really friendly—they are chipped, and house owners feed them).

  Don't know who has wrote the previous reviews, but the hotel I stayed at is the total opposite to some of the wonderful things that has been written, I stayed there in June 22 and everything that has been written by Colin and Sarah is 100percent true, I could not have wrote it any better. We all went to this hotel going on the wonderful reviews and was so disappointed by everything it had to offer.

  let me first state the following is a condensed list of complaints .this hotel is primerally for the turkish holiday makers and not sutible for them to be honest.the good was the shower , allways hot.the beer always cold.thats about it .1) There was no Sports & Entertainment in the hotel as specified in the brochure. There was a dart board with no darts and a table tennis table with no bats or Ping-Pong ball.2) The Bar closed at 11pm with no option to buy alcohol.3) choices of alcohol were limited to just 4.4) Food was inedible and there was very little choice. The chef was in fact a butcher by trade and often served up the same items for days in a row, even the chicken bones from people’s plates were reused. (DISCUSTING). He was dressed in jeans and a t-shirt not like the photo online.The choice at breakfast was boiled eggs or scrambled ( Gray and burnt) over fried onion rings ( not golden in colour but dark brown) over cooked chips ! and these items were cold as no heating was applied to the serving platters.cold food wass not on cold plates or covered ( well only with flys). lunch and dinner consiste of chicken cooked and doild many different ways. what was left at lunch you hade again for dinner. only 1 day in two weeks did it change and we had liver .and on occasion kofta. 5) Cleaning service was inadequate with our bedding only being changed once. ( our last day) no clean towels. Only our floor was swept and mopped to clean up the ants and the bin emptied.6) We had a problem with ants in our room DAILY (having to buy spray to kill them)7) The mattress was cheap and very uncomfortable (we had to buy an inflatable pool Lilo to sleep on.8) The toilet was disgusting and never cleaned.9) The door to our room was left open and unlocked by the cleaners.10) The door to our room is made up of frosted glass and leaves no privacy.11) The play area is nothing like the photos in your online photos. no bean bags and dirty broken slide. PLEASE take no notice of the photos on the internet they are from before 2022 twhen the hotel was run by different staff and owner.12) only 25 sunbeds for approx. 60 - 100 guests. and 17 of these were broken.13) The awning that provided shade in the eating area was broken and provided no shade at all.14) the tv / satellite only worked the second week .15) The pool is only one depth and not suitable for a novice or unsure swimmer.16) The pool side is very slippery with no mats to provide grip. This caused many accidents with children and adults alike. The ladder to the pool was unsecure and loose, as were the railings around the baby pool area.17) The sunbed cushions were yellow and stained. never washed properly.18) The table cloths were never changed in the weeks we were there. and the place mats are not like the photo you provide online.19) The landscaped gardens you advertise are far from landscaped and the room with a garden view we booked looked out onto the kitchen area.20) The pool is not just for the guests at the hotel but by the children of the hotel staff. All they did was jump in the pool constantly and as the sun beds where next tothe pool we got wet our phones got wet and they didnt care.21) Building works were being carried out in two buildings front and rear of the hotel around the pool area. Diggers and noisy machinery being used throughout the day. This list could go on but I feel I have addressed some of the issues. I would like to that Philis our turkish friends for standing up the the chef and telling him how it was ..

  Being an Ex Expat living around Bodrum, Turkey and having had holidays all around Turkey for 18 years, this Hotel has to be the worst we have ever stayed in.We went off previous reviews on this hotel, it has been taken over since pre covid times and all new staff have been brought in. The easiest way to review this hotel is by using a Pros and Cons List as this hotel is in deep trouble with most of the nationalities staying there at the moment, including the majority of customers there who are Turkish.PROS: The Weather, 10 mins walk to the Sea Front, Restaurants, Gift Shops and Supermarkets ( which you Will Need), Free Aircon and Safe (behind reception), English Speaking Receptionist and Barman and plenty of Hot Water for your shower. Friendly Turkish Holiday Makers. Plenty bottled water, Coffee, Turkish tea and Powered juice and water ( Cordial)CONS: In the middle of nowhere, Zero Entertainment, Rooms very, very basic and we were in a modern room!! Tv has no signal, bedding changed once in a fortnight (even after asking reception numerous times) as were the towels, even after throwing them on the bathroom floor!! Toilet seat broken, toilet itself ( don't go there..disgusting) Our room was invaded every day by ants, nothing was done even after complaining, we had to buy ant killer and kill them every evening when we returned from the pool.Cleaning...what cleaning...the single tiny bin got emptied in the bathroom and the dead ants swept up..but that was it!! Mattress was the worst, I even got a bruise off a spring after the first night.Pillows are disgusting no pillow protectors.Food.... Disgraceful, the only reason no one was ill when we were there was because no one ate it as it was recycled day in day out not just lunch to dinner. No choice whatsoever, I as many Turkish, Russian and the other two English ladies just ate Tomatoes, Cucumber, Bread and Dip for Lunch and Dinner, Breakfast is Burnt, grey scrambled Egg, Boiled Egg, Cheese, Tomatoes, Olives, There is cereal and milk but we left that for the children.When I say this is breakfast, it is every day.The Turkish families had the so called chef brought out to them to speak to as they were disgusted and called the food Peasant Food and told us they were ashamed to be Turkish as us being English would think that this was good Turkish food and it is not.It came to light from the Turkish people that the chef was in fact a Butcher from Izmir, not even a cook never mind a chef. Needless to say, there is no chance you will put weight on at this hotel.Bar/Drinks.... 1 type of Vodka, 1 type of Gin, 1 type of Raki, 1 type of Red and White Wine and Efes. Soft drinks Cola, Tonic and a type of Sprite which isn't sprite. Wine tastes like sherry.No pure fruit juices, just powdered juice and water for vodka and orange or gin and orange.Bar closes at 11 p.m sharp and closes, you cannot buy drinks after this. Cats...not an issue as such for us as we have two at home, but these cats are emaciated, ill with cat flu, have awful.wounds and are crying out for food and water.The amount of food that goes untouched would feed these cats out of the back of the kitchen and they wouldn't need to pester guests for food at every sitting, it truly is heart breaking.The Swimming Pool: A small baby pool and a 1.5m deep pool.attached to it. Be aware there is not a shallow end, it is the same depth right across, so older children either sat on the sunbeds or on the side or the parents bought arm bands as it was too dangerous to leave them play.The area around the pool is so slippy there are no matts and 4/5 adults and children a day slipped around the pool as it was so wet and slippy on the tiles.The tiles in the baby pool aren't even swimming pool tiles they are bog standard wall, floor tiles and these are cracked.Frosted apartment door, so stay clothed at all times lolSunbeds.. 25 of these not even enough for half the hotel and the majority of these are broken.This hotel is the Fawlty Towers of Turkish hotels, how it can go so wrong after being so right is beyond me.Needless to say we won't be back and will be letting other Travel Companies know how very dire this hotel has now become.

  Wonderful for the price - the staff make it

  Just got home from this hotel this morning. It is definitely on the small side but with a big welcome. It isn`t 5 star but doesn't pretend to be. What it does do it however it tends to do very very well.We were a day late checking in (due to Easyjet cancelling the flight we had sat on for 4 hours) so arrived the following afternoon rather than the previous night. Manager was instantly welcoming and had said he had tried to call out travel agent to see if there was an issue (without much luck) and instantly presented us with 2 bottles of chilled water before we had got past reception - which was a lovely touch. Anyway - breaking the hotel down into sections:LAYOUT: Think of basically a rectangle, reception at the front, 2 blocks of rooms either side , and then on the back right hand corner the dining area, swimming pool at the back in the middle, and bar back left.ROOMS: Reasonable sized room - big enough to put luggage down and still leave plenty of room either side. Air conditioning was included and very effective which could prove to be very welcoming. Shower was incredibly powerful - it did have a tendency to cool down after a couple of minutes when there was demand for hot water. But No one minds a lukewarm shower in 30 degrees heat! There was a sometimes strong sulphur smell in the bathroom - however that is beyond the control of the hotel. Small balcony - you could stand on it, but no room for table or chairs, but handy enough for drying towels.RESTAURAUNT Attentive staff. Buffet style selection - could normally find something to eat, but selection was a bit limited. Better to eat out as a rule, but there if you need it. However did find it wasn`t the best quality, but what you would expect for the price. This isn`t a moan, just ensuring people aren't expecting 5 star food at 2 star prices.BARIt had beer! That is always a good start ! Especially if it is cold plentiful and drinkable - which it was. Also had wines , some spirits (Vodka, Raiki, Gin and some more - but not a spirit drinker). Head barman especially never seemed to take a day off! Open from about 10 in the morning until 11pm at night. Sometimes if my beer was running low a new glass would magically appear on the table! There is a seating area with about 6 tables and chairs - under a tree that did drop its flowers on you, which meant the barman was always busy sweeping the leaves off the table. But the tree looked pretty, and provided some shelter from the sun if you needed it, and some tables where the sun would shine through. I have been to some all inclusive hotels where they tried to limit the amount you could drink by creating queues and small glasses - non of those problems here. At last orders for example no issues if you want to "park" a few drinks to carry on with!POOL:Deep pool all the way round. Not so deep you couldn`t touch the bottom if you are a reasonable height (so if you are 6 foot no issues, if you are under 5`8 you may struggle), and not deep enough to dive deep into it, but fine to jump in. Good temperature as well. One set of slightly rickety steps to exit (but safe) and also a "seating" ledge as well as a smaller paddling pool style extension.LOCATION:On a quiet road. There was a shop within 5 minutes walk and the beachfront within 10 minutes walk. Near enough the mosque you can hear the 5 times daily call to prayer (but no so near it was intrusive). Also about 15 minutes walk to the pharmacy if you need itWIFI:It had it! Not the strongest signal in the rooms - generally fine in the bar and dining room area. Wouldn`t be fast enough to stream, but for normal use was fine.STAFF:The most welcoming staff you will find anywhere - couldn`t do enough for you - especially the manager and head barman. They will try and give you a later checkout if you have a later departure as long as their occupancy allows it (And no charge for this). The staff are the reason I've rated this 5 stars.OVERALL:Google describe this as an "unfussy" hotel - which is accurate, but had everything you need for a break in the sun. Of course you can find hotels with better facilities, and those on the beach, but you will pay extra for these. With this hotel you get what you pay for and have it topped off with super staff. If you are the type of person who takes photos behind the toilet to post on tripadvisor, then probably best booking elsewhere. If your requirements are clean, a bed, a bar and sun and a pool though, go ahead and book.ORTAKENT:Plenty of bars and restaurants along the seafront - most attached to hotels, but no issues to eat or drink there. Not everywhere has English menus, so you may end up guessing. Not everywhere will have English speakers but can normally get by. Quietish resort but lovely sea. May be an idea to take jelly shoes or similar as the beach can be quite pebbly. Prices are very reasonable, but duty free purchases best made in resort as considerably more expensive in the airport (drink prices in the airport also very expensive - 9 euros for a small bottle of beer - in resort you will pay about 60 Turkish lira for a large pint bottle - which is about £3.50). Watersports are available but these can be expensive.
