We spent 1 week here for some time ago and it was an awful experience. Bad behavior towards women by staff without any consequences. There is nothing wrong with the facilities though but that is just not enough. Nice holiday hotel near the beach and city centre. Places of historic interest within walking distance. The first thing you notice on entering the hotel is the small of smoke. Coming from the UK where smoking isn’t allowed indoors, the smell was pungent....this is throughout the hotel - and pretty much anywhere in Monastir. My room was plenty big enough. Shower was hot (but did go cold at peak times). Rooms were cleaned daily with clean towels. Room a bit dated but it’s a place to sleep, nothing els… The first thing you notice on entering the hotel is the small of smoke. A relaxing stay in an established hotel with traditional features
This is not a "Brits-abroad" hotel, rather an opportunity to sample local culture. The hotel could benefit from updating here and there but was clean and very well serviced and managed. Location is good, with the shores of the Mediterranean, local marts, coffee shops and restaurants all within a few minutes walk - Monastir is traditional and has an 'old-world' feel. Our room was of decent size.
