Very convenient location walkable distance to most places plus great service with great spa and food options. Hana in the restaurant was absolutely amazing! And pang at the reception helped us so much with smooth check in and smooth check out. We did emergency booking but they were so accommodating and the view was wow!

A Wonderful Stay at Ava Sea Resort

We’ve just returned from our holiday in Thailand, and our first stop was Ava Sea Resort in Krabi — the perfect start to our trip.The location couldn’t have been better. The hotel sits right on the main strip with plenty of shops and restaurants, and it’s only a short 10-minute walk to Ao Nang Beach, which was ideal for us.From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming. Everyone greeted us with a smile, and nothing was ever too much trouble. Their warmth and friendliness really made our stay special.The hotel itself was clean, modern, and comfortable. Our room was spacious with a very comfy bed, and the daily breakfast offered plenty of choice — something for everyone.Two members of staff truly stood out: Bank and Bebe. Both went above and beyond to help us during our stay. Bank was especially amazing when we were trying to order our first Grab taxi. Not only did he help us with the app, but he actually went outside, found the taxi for us, and waited by it until we came out. You don’t meet people like that often, and we were so grateful.Ava Sea Resort gave us a fantastic start to our Thailand adventure, and we will definitely be going back.

“Come for the Pool, Stay Awake for the Corridor Arguments”

Stopped for 9 nights and overall had an average experience. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well maintained throughout the stay. The pool area is fairly small but has plenty of sheltered spots, and the water temperature was lovely. However, the pool itself looked like it could do with a deeper clean, and some handrails would really help with entering and exiting safely, especially with the slippery tiles around the pool.I skipped using the gym as around half of the equipment was out of order, and on the two occasions I planned to train, there were young children inside playing around unsupervised.Breakfast was also a little disappointing for European guests. Unless you enjoy chocolate cereals and eggs every morning, the options were quite limited, with most dishes catering towards Indian and Thai tastes. That said, the gentleman working the egg station was excellent and definitely one of the highlights of the breakfast service.My biggest frustration during the stay was actually the behaviour of some other guests — not necessarily the hotel’s fault, but it did impact the overall experience. There was often shouting, doors slamming, and loud conversations in the corridors late into the night. Guests were also taking lifesaving equipment from around the pool despite clear signs asking them not to, and using the pool fully clothed. Breakfast tables would regularly be taken while you briefly visited the buffet, and I witnessed several guests being unnecessarily rude and demanding towards the hardworking staff, which really affected what should have been a more relaxing atmosphere around the pool and restaurant areas.On a positive note, every member of staff I encountered was polite, welcoming, and professional. I genuinely felt sorry for them at times, as they dealt with some very difficult and disrespectful behaviour from guests.I’ve stayed in a number of hotels around Ao Nang, and while this stay was acceptable, I personally wouldn’t choose Ava Sea again considering other hotels in the area offer better overall experiences at similar price points.
