    We had the pleasure of visiting Eden on our yearly trip to Thailand and was really looking forward to staying at this hotel. So, the breakfast is great. We really enjoyed that, and the rooms are just fine - we don't waste much time in the rooms anyways apart from sleeping at night.But to be honest we were a bit disappointed. The hotel needs a bit of upgrading, as it is showing signs of being worn down. And often it was difficult to get sun-beds - unless you participated in the 'Early-Morning-Sunbed-Race' to secure a spot.Another thing that really annoyed us was that our son got a very bad food poising from the Pizza-restaurant. And of course it happened on the very last day. Let's just say that it made for a very bad trip home.I know this can happen any place, but when I reached out to the hotel on email to inform them about this - so that it perhaps can be avoided in the future - I was met with absolute silence... That is just bad service!

    Songkran at Eden Beach

    We’re are very lucky in that Eden Beach Resort and Spa is little over two hours drive from where we live which explains the frequency of our visits. For the second consecutive year, we stayed there for Thai New Year and the Songkran celebrations. Check-in was, as usual, professional and efficient and our luggage taken to our room promptly. The room contained everything needed to ensure a comfortable stay including beach towels and beach shoes as well as the normal toiletries.There was a large, extremely comfortable bed! Housekeeping couldnt be faulted. The resorts facilities are very good indeed with excellent restaurants, a coffee shop, extensive pool and well kept grounds.There is a small car park and parking wasn’t easy when we were staying. The very helpful security were always on hand to assist.The main restaurant overlooks the pool area and the sea. Breakfasts which are buffet style are very good with a good range of dishes available. The only problem was a lack of staff initially and when breakfast was available form 6-30, on one occasion no waiting staff arrived before 8am. Each evening there is a themed buffet and on the occasion we were staying, there was a special Songkran buffet which was very good indeed. The coffee shop, Deli cafe, is reviewed separately but is highly recommended. Of the other restaurants, we ate at Genesis and Sunne Terrace where delicious pizzas are available. Service here was very good indeed with Goong (?) in charge.Songkran Day was great with a colourful parade, sandcastle building competition, a visit by monks for alms giving and the Thai tradition of younger people washing the hands of the older generation. The resort seemed full so better to take breakfast early! Be warned, however, there are many steps so visitors with mobility difficulties should advise reservations when booking.No doubt we will return!

    Staying here with 5 friends and all have pool access rooms which are lovelyPool and beach are great and we have not had problems getting a sunbedStaff are friendly and food at senses restaurant excellent and not too priceyThis is not a flashy 5 star but if you want a stunning location and a very relaxed vibe it’s greatPlenty of beach restaurants nearbyWould definitely come backFabulous happy hours at the pool bar??

    We had another wonderful holiday at Eden Beach this year. Everything was perfect. It was lovely to see familiar faces. Frank the Restaurant Manager was a wonderful host and really knowledgeable. Looking forward to coming back again next year. If you're in doubt, don't be, its a fabulous hotel, beautiful grounds and staffed by the kindest and friendliest people, also a great location with the village a few hundred meters away.
