The rooms are clean and functional. Beds are comfortable. We had a buffet dinner included in our package. The choice was terrible and it was impossible to put a meal together. We ended up eating desserts. Breakfast the next day was not much better and in fact some of the dishes that were out at dinner appeared again at breakfast. Staff not very friendly and grabbed plates before they were finished… The rooms are clean and functional. Beds are comfortable. We had a buffet dinner included in our package. Not very charming, but good service - even a late night room service -, clean and big rooms, several restaurants. Breakfast is ok, although not exceptional, friendly reception. Nice rooms, but I could hear my upstairs neighbours’ footsteps, and my nextdoor neighbours talking. Breakfast was great quality but selection didn’t match (no lean protein options). Gym is poor. Macarons from the pastry shop are excellent. Shower head was installed poorly so it couldn’t point the right direction. For our 40th wedding anniversary my wife and I enjoyed an 18 day Asian smorgasbord tour from 28 December 2019 to 14 January 2020 visiting in order Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Laos and Singapore. Our 6 night private tour of Taiwan was arranged through Wendy Wu Tours and we visited Taipei, Taroko Gorge, Sun Moon Lake, Tainan and Kaohsiung.
