What a lovely hotel. Our main purpose was to see Gringelward and decided to stay here instead which we don’t regret. There are far less people and Wengen is more of a Swiss village were as Gringelward is more a tourist ski destination. It takes 2 trains and about 50 minutes to get from one to the other but worth it. First I’ll start with the only issue we had. Upon arriving in Wengen we phoned the… What a lovely hotel. Fantastic location, an impressive and well-maintained building, and very, very kind staff. However, our room was extremely small (with a SHOWER CURTAIN!!!). The 132-year-old Victory-style hotel is beautiful, elegant, and cozy, making you feel as though you are living in the past.
