We traveled by train from Geneva. While distance wise it’s not far from the train station to the hotel it is uphill and on cobblestone! I would not advise walking like we did. Either taxi, bus or tram would be a better option.The room was very comfortable temperature wise. The bed was just okay, kind of firm and a thinner mattress. Hotel is 10 minutes walk from the train station. It's a basic hotel, room is a reasonable size, has some storage space, no bar fridge, good airconditioning. Really nice room, with a balcony - very spacious and a nice view of Lake Geneva. Free travel card for the duration of stay. Easy therefore to get to the town centre and the lakeside. Can't comment on breakfast as we left early but we were given a "take away breakfast" which we really appreciated. What happened this time is of a different order altogether, and it is the reason I left the establishment immediately. I did not wait: I set my bags down, picked them up again, and left.I check in at 4 o’clock on Friday the 17th, received by a person who appears to be the hotel’s manager. I am asked for identification. By reflex, I present my French residence permit.
