This charming hotel is located in a central location on the left-hand bank of the Rhone. The centre, with its numerous cultural and historical sightseeing attractions as well as old town and shopping and entertainment opportunities are only a few minutes walk from the hotel.     Location was good, walking distance to the old town and bus/tram stop just round the corner.Staff were friendly and helpful with recommendations however didn’t tell us about the gym/sauna etc so not even sure if these were open.In its day I think this would have been a beautiful hotel. However, in 2026 I would not call this a 4 star hotel. It’s extremely dated and shabby feeling. In desperate need of upgrading, the furniture is bashed and chipped from years of use, the old jacuzzis style baths are just dated and I wouldn’t use them, lamps were hanging off the wall and sofas in the ‘suites’ weren’t that clean.The lift only fits one person in it with a suitcase so be mindful of that.Breakfast was ok but nothing special and the restaurant and bar was not open in the evenings the whole time we were there. Overall we expected more in Geneva, were disappointed and this was the only negative of our whole trip so wouldn’t recommend or stay here again.

    Excellent base for exploring Geneva and beyond. You get a Geneva travel pass for your stay which is really useful. Staff very friendly & helpful. Rooms are clean, comfortable and well equipped. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby.

    It‘s a decent budget hotel. Don‘t expect luxury. What you get is a good location and a clean room. Be aware that the hotel is a bit worn out. The rooms have carpets and the breakfast is nothing soecial. Considering other hotels with similar prices I liked the style and character of this one. But during summer months it could be sticky due to no AC.

    The elevator didn't reach the fifth floor where my room with a way too hard matress and a sloping roof was. Breakfast was good, even though the joghurt served was too warm and caused me diarrhea.Location of the hotel is fantastic.

    Visited here at the very end of November, staff were Absolutely excellent, speaking both French and English 10/10 for both languages so can not complain at this. Great service from then at all times from first thing in the morning to last thing at night, there was always someone there smiling at us/ saying hello/ goodbye as u came and went.Hotel itself was unique, definitely fashioned for an old themed hotel as you can tell by the cage of a lift/ elevator. However it’s in a great location close to the old town, close to teams and bus lines, aswell as anything else one could need (bars, food shops, restaurants etc) The rooms were pretty decent- only complaints we had was the fridge did not work and we were just told it was broke and no solution offered, and could do with some fresh paint here and there in minor amounts , but other than that the rooms were clean and somewhat fresh feeling compared to the older themed hotel - There is heating available however no air-con, and feeling how quickly the room warmed up I can see how this is an issue in summer, however at winter the hotel room is excellent, with plenty of space and no issues that are worth mentioning at all- For winter time I can not recommend here enough
