This luxurious hotel is located around 2000 m above sea level in the mountains where Ceylon Tea comes from and is only 6 degrees from the Equator. It was built in the time of the British Raj as a factory building. The nearest large town with plenty of shops as well as a beautiful lake and train station is around 50 minutes away with local public transport (15 km away). The bus station is around 5 km away and Colombo airport is approximately 190 km from the hotel (5.5 hours with public transport).

57 rooms are located on 5 storeys and can be reached by lift. The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities available at the hotel include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. A unique lovely hotel situated a 15-20 min drive outside of NE centre in a beautiful quiet valley. The building is amazing with lots of old features still in tact and the grounds are exceptional, big shout to the gardening team as well as Krishna in the mini tea factory - the kids loved it. We also did a 5k walk on part of the Pekoe trail from the hotel which was stunning scenery. A serene, charming hotel set in the midst of rolling tea plantation. A visit to their tea museum and picking experience was fun and hugely enjoyable, dressing in traditional wear was a revelation. Stylish and well thought out, but let down by breakfast
