About The Fortress Resort & SpaThe hotel is located right next to Koggala beach near the Sri Lankan port of Galle, which is home to the UNESCO world heritage listed Dutch Fort and the Dutch Reform Church. Koggala is a small beach village with its own cultural centre in the form of the fascinating Museum of Folk, Art and Culture. Guests may enjoy taking a boat trip on the lagoon and Kogggala Lake to see the surrounding small islands, famous for their fantastic bird watching. Its proximity to the picturesque Lake Koggala means that guests have the opportunity of coming to the hotel by seaplane, which is a truly impressive experience.
