Location

This resort is situated on the broad beach of Bentota, one of the most expansive sand beaches in Asia. Bentota is a much-loved family resort on Sri Lanka's popular south-west coast. It lies around 2.5 hours south of Colombo and 96 km from Bandaranaike International Airport.

Facility

The resort has a lift and features 90 non-smoking rooms. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The resort has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A number of shops, including a souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Additional amenities include a TV room and a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park for no extra charge. Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and a fan. Guests can relax and enjoy the sea views from the balcony or private terrace of some rooms. Rooms have a double bed, a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. Children's beds can be requested for younger guests. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Additional features include a refrigerator and a tea/coffee station. Further amenities include an ironing set and a trouser press. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio, a CD player, a DVD player and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Slippers are included. Sport

While the adults swim a few laps in the outdoor pool, children can enjoy splashing about in their own swimming area. A short break or an entire afternoon on the sun terrace, which features sun loungers and parasols, is time well spent. Refreshing drinks are served at the poolside snack bar. A variety of activities such as tennis, beach volleyball, volleyball and fishing or, for a fee, cycling/mountain biking, are offered at the resort. Water sports available at the resort include water skiing, windsurfing, jet skiing, snorkelling and diving. Third-party operators offer banana boat rides. Guests can enjoy a wide range of indoor sports, including a gym, table tennis, badminton, billiards, darts, squash and yoga. Various wellness options are available at the resort, including a spa, a sauna, a steam bath, a beauty salon and massage treatments. Meals

Dining facilities include a non-smoking restaurant, a café and a bar. Catering options include half board, full board and all-inclusive.     I have been reading some recent reviews of this hotel and I am find theminteresting because my experience was quite different.We were there at the end of our two week Sri Lankan tour the end of May when occupancy was very quiet. We thought this stay would be a highlight - it wasn’t!! Service was incredibly slow, if we were served at all. The buffet food for breakfast was very good but otherwise we ended up eating at a hotel next door because the quality and service were both poor. There were basic items missing from the room that we had to ask for - there are far better options on this amazing country I would not recommend this hotel at all. Service was
