This hotel is okay but in my opinion it is definitely not 5-star. While the entrance and lobby look the part, little else does. This hotel is fine but in my opinion it is not 5 star. In Europe stars are awarded on amenities and services not necessarily quality. Thus any way you cut it it is not five star. Four star,maybe; 3 star certainly. We had a deluxe non renovated room. It was fine although the carpet was worn. The room is large with a desk and chair,a wingback type chair and a loveseat. Excellent 5 star hotel. Absolutely immaculate and friendly . Room was superb with a lovely sofa to sit on. Cozy bar and lounge in reception. Excellent price for wines . We stayed for one night having a high expectation due to the hotel having 5 stars. We walked into the reception and were impressed with the surrounds and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Unfortunately the 5 star experience ended there! Upon entering the room we were overwhelmed by the aged decor, threadbare carpet and general poor condition of the room.
